Company History
Climate Makers, Inc. has been serving the Chicago North and Northwest Suburbs out of Lake Zurich, IL since 1978. The Owner of Climate Makers, Inc., Daniel Papreck, has been published in a trade magazine (Engineered Systems, Vol. 2, No. 3 - May/June 1985) for a unique energy-saving equipment design. His design not only saved energy but also doubled their production!
Before opening Climate Makers as a full-time company, Dan designed the equipment that is now used in modern HVACR. Furthermore, Dan acted as an instructor for classes at the College of Lake County including Basis Refrigeration, Electric Motors and Controls, Residential Air Conditioning, Residential Heating, Air Movement and Ventilation, and Commercial Refrigeration.
His specific background includes a BS in mechanical Engineering, AS in refrigeration and air conditioning, certifications in heating and air conditioning as well as refrigeration and air conditioning. He has been a design engineer for an architectural/engineering firm, chief engineer for HVAC O.E.M., and furthermore certified in air flow diagnostics, test and balance, and in carbon monoxide and combustion efficiency testing.
Putting all of these certifications to use, Climate Makers, Inc. is able to provide services that extend beyond simple HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair; they are able to optimize performance of these systems while paying close attention to the needs of the consumer such as dust problems, allergies, varying temperatures throughout the home, etc. With their new diagnositic approach, Climate Makers, Inc. is at the forefront of technology in the field. Using this technology, we are able to provide the most efficient as well as the most environmentally friendly service and equipment available!
